Airborne pollutants are simply a fact of life. Pollutants such as mold, bacteria, dust and pollen can cause flare-ups of allergy symptoms and in some cases trigger asthma attacks. These pollutants can also effect your home heating and cooling equipment by building up on the indoor evaporator coil. A thin layer of these pollutants can inhibit air flow and can effect the efficiency of your heating and cooling system. The Carrier UV Light can clean the coil and virtually eliminate the additional build up from these pollutants.
The UV Light is mounted upstream of the evaporator coil. This light works to clean the coil and prevent the build up of pollutants.
UV lights will minimize the accumulation of pollutants, letting your system operate at peak efficiency.
UV lights can be installed in newer and older systems.
WARRANTY: The UV Light has a 10-year parts warranty and 1-year labor warranty from the date of installation.
MAINTENANCE: No cleaning is necessary, however the bulbs for the unit must be replaced as required by model.
