Airborne pollutants are simply a fact of life. Pollutants such as mold, bacteria, dust and pollen can cause flare-ups of allergy symptoms and in some cases trigger asthma attacks. These pollutants can also effect your home heating and cooling equipment by building up on the indoor evaporator coil. A thin layer of these pollutants can inhibit air flow and can effect the efficiency of your heating and cooling system. The Carrier UV Light can clean the coil and virtually eliminate the additional build up from these pollutants.
The UV Light is mounted upstream of the evaporator coil. This light works to clean the coil and prevent the build up of pollutants.
UV lights will minimize the accumulation of pollutants, letting your system operate at peak efficiency.
UV lights can be installed in newer and older systems.
WARRANTY: The UV Light has a 10-year parts warranty and 1-year labor warranty from the date of installation.
MAINTENANCE: No cleaning is necessary, however the bulbs for the unit must be replaced as required by model.
When your heating and cooling system is equipped with a Carrier EZ Flex air filter, your indoor air is cleaned as it passes through the pleated media filter. The clean air is then circulated throughout your home.
We recommend the Carrier EZ FLEX CABINET AND MEDIA FILTER for your home. This unit is best used with continuous fan operation. For optimal comfort and air cleaning, operate your heating and cooling system in the “continuous fan” or ” fan on” mode. In this mode, the blower stays on even when there is not a call for heating and cooling. The air in your home is continually circulated and cleaned, keeping the temperature in your home more even.
Carrier EZ FLEX filter media is available in either a MERV 8 or MERV 10 efficiency, effectively providing excellent filtration. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. The higher the MERV rating, the more efficient the filter.
WARRANTY: The EZ FLEX CABINET is installed with a 10-year cabinet warranty from Carrier and 1-year labor warranty from date of installation.
MAINTENANCE: No maintenance is required to the cabinet itself except for wiping inside the cabinet prior to replacing the media filter. The media filter should be replaced once or twice each year depending on air quality conditions.
